"Pet of the Month" Official Contest Rules and FAQs
No purchase or payment necessary to enter or win. A PURCHASE WILL NOT IMPROVE YOUR CHANCE OF WINNING. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.
The "Pet of the Month" Contest (the "Promotion") allows you to submit a photo of your pet to be our "Pet of the Month!" The Promotion will begin on the first of every month and will continue each month that it is listed on our website(s). Each monthly contest will run from 12:01 am PST on the first day of each month to 11:59 pm PST on the last day of each month.
1. HOW TO ENTER: It is easy to enter. Simply submit an uploaded photo (jpeg, gif or png, no larger than 5 MB) of your pet along with your completed entry form on either the Bamboo or Fat Cat websites (www.bamboopet.com or www.fatcatinc.com). Only on-line entries will be accepted. All entries must include your name, telephone number, and email address. Entries must be complete to be eligible. Entries become the property of Munchkin, Inc. (the "Sponsor") and will not be returned.
2. ELIGIBILITY: To participate in the promotion, you must be a legal resident of United States, 18 years of age or older and of the age of legal majority in your state of residence (19 or older in AL and NE and 21 or older in MS) at the time of entry. Employees, officers, and directors of the Sponsor and any of its respective parents, affiliates and/or subsidiaries including, but not limited to Bamboo and Fat Cat, Inc., their advertising, promotion and fulfillment agencies, and any individual or entity directly involved in this Promotion, as well as any of the immediate family members and/or those living in the same household as any of the aforementioned (whether related or not), are not eligible to win a prize.
3. JUDGING: The official contest judges will select two (2) winners each month as "Pet of the Month" from the entries submitted. Winner(s) will be chosen by the 15th day of each month. At least two (2) submissions will be required each month in order for official contest judges to select the winners. Winners and their pets may be featured in our newsletter and/or other publications.
4. PRIZES: Each month, we will give away two (2) Grand Prizes for that month's two (2) winners of the "Pet of the Month" contest. Each Grand Prize will consist of Bamboo and/or Fat Cat products having a total retail value of twenty-five dollars ($25 USD). Odds of being selected to receive a "Pet of the Month" Grand Prize are dependent on the number of contest entrants. All federal, state and local taxes on any prize are the sole responsibility of the prize winner. Prizes cannot be transferred or substituted. Winners will be notified by email. If a potential winner cannot be contacted within five (5) business days, that individual may be disqualified and an alternate winner selected at random from among all of the remaining eligible entries. Limit one (1) prize per name, address and/or household.
5. GENERAL CONDITIONS: By participating in this Promotion, participants agree (a) to be bound by these Official Rules; and (b) that the decisions of Sponsor and the judges are final on all matters relating to this promotion. Sponsor not responsible for electronic, network or computer malfunctions or other technical errors of any kind. Sponsor assumes no responsibility for entries that are lost, late, incomplete, illegible or misdirected for any reason, including by reason of software, hardware, browser or network failure, malfunction or congestion, or incompatibility at Sponsor's servers or elsewhere. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any person suspected of tampering with the entry process, the operation of the website, or otherwise in violation of the rules. Use of bots or other automated process to enter is prohibited and may result in disqualification at the sole discretion of the Sponsor. In the event of a dispute as to any entry, the authorized account holder of the email address used to register will be deemed to be the entrant. The "authorized account holder" is the natural person assigned an email address by an Internet Service Provider, online service provider or other organization responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted address. Prize winners may be required to complete, execute and return an Affidavit of Eligibility and a Publicity/Liability Release within seven (7) days of notification. Noncompliance, failure to return documents with 7 days, or prize notification being returned as non-deliverable, may result in disqualification and prize forfeiture. Winners grant to Sponsor, its parent company, subsidiaries, affiliates and those acting pursuant to its authority, the right to print, publish, broadcast and use, worldwide in any media now known or hereafter developed, including but not limited to the world wide web, at any time or times, the winner's name, address (city & state), portrait, picture, voice, likeness and biographical information for advertising and promotional purposes without additional consideration, unless prohibited by law. By accepting the prize offered, winners agree to release and hold harmless the Sponsor, its parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies and their respective directors, officers, employees, representatives and agents from any and all actions and/or liabilities for any injuries, loss or damage of any kind to person, including death or disability, and property, arising in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, use or misuse of a prize, prize related activity, or participation in this contest. Sponsor is not responsible for any typographical or other error in the printing, the offering or the announcement of any prizes or in the administration of the Promotion. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal value.
6. CHOICE OF LAW: This contest is governed by the laws of the state of California, without regard to conflict of law doctrine. By entering this contest, all participants agree to be subject to jurisdiction in the Federal and State courts of California and agree that all disputes relating in any way to this contest must be resolved in the Federal and State courts of California.
